Outdoor Reports

We will keep you posted with all things trail related! Be sure to grab one of our new 2020 Cable Area Motor Head Maps here in the Chamber, or at one of our local businesses

Trail Update 1/14/2021: Trails in the Cable/ Namakagon area are rideable but are in fair condition. Namakagon Trail Groomers were out the night of the 12th. There are some trails that are more brown than white, but are still rideable. The Cable Area is projected to get 6-10 inches of snow by 1/16/21, so our trail conditions should improve. The Stick Trail is up on Lake Namakagon, however there are still areas of open water near bridges and thin ice near shorelines so always be aware of your surroundings. Please remember the Groomer has the right of way, and obey all posted signs and speed limits. Stop by the Cable Chamber or local businesses for a trail map.

Birkie Trails Update 1/8/2021: Trail conditions are still pretty good, but there is just not enough snow for a re-groom of the greater Birkie Trail. Tonight we did groom the artificial snow loops at Birkie Trail Head and the loops at OO. Best skiing is north of Firetower Trail Head. Enjoy the outdoors!. -Birkie Crew

The Cable Area is known as “Trail Town USA” for the obvious reason of the many and variety of trail systems we have surrounding the area! Check out these links for additional and current trail conditions.
