Notes: All those snow dances are starting to work, we have white on the ground & trail prep has started!
We have had below zero numbers at night, and highs of single digits this past weekend and this week so that will help firm everything up and make ice on the lakes!
Warm weather is predicted for the upcoming week, so we shall see….

Cross Country Ski Trails Update
|North End Trail (A.B.C loops)
|All loops rolled & groomed. No track. Early season conditions. Note that there are some rough areas post-logging on the B loop east of NE73. Go slow and use caution in this area, through NE72. Rock skis highly recommended.
|Tony Wise Trail
|Rolled & Groomed. Decent coverage, but surface is very uneven. Conditions: Fair/Early season.
|North End Classic Trail
|Skied in track the length of the trail. This is an advanced intermediate trail requiring good downhill and climbing skills. Not recommended for novice skiers.
|A few updates: skiing is superb at Telemark on the machine made snow loops (approx 4km). We have also groomed approx 10km of natural snow there and it is a 1″ base, pretty good skiing. Reminder the venue will be closed on Saturday for Ski de She until 3pm. Additionally we have approx 20km groomed from Boedecker to Gravel Pit. Similar to up north/ it is a thin 1″ base or so, but if adventurous, give it a try. It gets prett thin by Gravel Pit as you head south. Enjoy!
|We rolled the Drummond Ski trails for the first time today (1/23). John Knight and I went out to cut and remove deadfall (there wasn’t much) and to roll what snow we have had since the beginning of the winter (there wasn’t much.) It was a bumpy ride on the snowmobile over the thinly covered surface. It rolled nicely, but the pretty ridges are hiding all the rocks and uneven ground lurking under the snow. Skiing in our hayfield is as good as what you’ll find on the Drummond Trails. Way too thin to even think about setting tracks.
North End Ski Club: Early season conditions. Note that there are some rough areas.
Birkie Trails: 4km of Machine-made snow provides great skiing around Mt. Telemark area. Thin base of natural snow on other trails, getting thinner as you head south.
Drummond: Rolled, watch for rocks
