At a Glance – The Cable Area

The Cable Area is one of the most beautiful, friendly and adventurous places in the United States. The area is situated within the 850,000 acre Chequamegon National Forest in the Southern part of Bayfield County, the 2nd largest county in Wisconsin.

Boasting the ‘Best Trails in the U.S’ and 963 named bodies of water, the pristine natural resources are what the locals find irresistible and what brings tourists from around the world here. The Cable Area has literally thousands of miles of trails for you to explore in every season. Whether looking for groomed trails in January, picturesque trails in June or breath-taking trails through fall colors, the Cable Area has numerous trails with plenty of diversity for you to explore.
