The fall colors won’t be the only things bursting to life this fall. The Cable Area Fall Fest, held annually the last weekend of September, offers visitors of every age entertaining opportunities sure to make this your favorite festival of the year. Cornstalks, hay bales, and pumpkins line the roads throughout the Cable community. Live music, car, motorcycle and truck show, arts and crafts vendors, and incredible food vendors fill the streets all for your enjoyment.
Activities kick off on Friday with a Fall Harvest Dessert Contest at 3pm sponsored by Cable Namakagon Historical Museum, sign up to be an “official” judge by contacting the Chamber for more information. The evening concludes with a Northwoods Fish Fry at 5pm, sponsored by Brick House Cafe and Bayfield County Tourism, a Beer & Wine Garden starting at 4pm sponsored by Pla-Mor on Namakagon, and Live Music by Ghost the Coyote and The Tinglers, sponsored by Loon Saloon and Mogasheen Resort–so bring your dancing shoes!
Saturday kicks into high gear at 7:30am with a Pumpkin Pecan Pancake Breakfast sponsored by Coldwell Banker, Art & Crafts show beginning at 9am, Car, Motorcycle, and Truck Show at 9am sponsored by Hayward Community Credit Union and Darrell’s Full Service Automotive. Enjoy live music all day on the Chamber Deck, sponsored by Redbery Books, McKinney Realty, Garmisch USA, and Lakewoods! From 10am to 5pm there’ll be bounce houses and carnival games for kids, sponsored by the Town of Namakagon and the Sons of the American Legion. Stop by the Beer & Wine Garden and Badger Football Fall Fest Huddle at the Lion’s tent starting at 10am, brought to you by Camp David Realty and Norvado! This year we’re also bringing back our popular Wine and Cheese tasting at 5pm in the Community Center, sponsored by Benoit Cheese Haus and Roger & Sue Rockenbach! With so much to do and everyone having such a good time you will find yourself longing for time to stand still!
There are activities happening everywhere. Look down Main Street and you will find Art and Craft Vendors of all mediums, some will even be doing live demos! Pick up seasonal harvests at the UCC Church Farmers Market, turn the other direction to find the kids activities, including bounce houses. Cars, Motorcycles, and Trucks line the streets where you can talk “shop” with owners, and even help judge for People’s Choice Award.
Follow your nose and fill your stomach in our Food Court featuring many different cuisines. There’s even a tent featuring some of our local restaurants’ bestselling pies, burgers, turkey legs and more! Watch some of our local chefs whip up some of their restaurant’s delectable dishes and give it a taste!
There really is something for everyone in the family to enjoy at the Cable Area Fall Fest!
