Sedge Ecology & Identification
June 18 - 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM

(Master Naturalist Advanced Training)
Sedges are beautiful, unique, and often confusing members of our natural landscapes. U.S. Forest Service botanist Caitlin Hoenig will lead the group in identifying sedges using dichotomous keys and distinctive characters. Meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Cable Natural History Museum for a morning of classroom learning. After a sack lunch, travel to nearby field sites to reinforce your knowledge. Return to the Museum for review and finish by 3:30 p.m. You don’t have to be a certified Master Naturalist to participate! Any adult learners are welcome.
$35.00 – $45.00
Register by June 16.
