Dragonfly Ecology & Identification

Discover the unique and interesting attributes of dragonflies that have helped them become the most proficient predator on the planet. Explore the life stages of incomplete metamorphosis and how dragonflies spend most of their life underwater. Learn tips and tricks to identify dragonflies and damselflies, which will help you ID the species that you see flying around your neighborhood. This program will be taught by Jeff Fischer, past President of the Wisconsin Dragonfly Society and founding member of the Minnesota Dragonfly Society. Meet at the Museum at 12:30 p.m. for an introductory lecture, then carpool to Cap Creek Landing on the Namekagon River, finish by 3:30 p.m. You don’t have to be a certified Master Naturalist to participate! Any adult learners are welcome. Space is limited.

Register by June 23.

$15 member/$25 non-member.
