CNHM: Birding by Boat on Bark Bay Slough

Join local veterinarian and birder, Dr. John Mundahl, for a paddle through prime shorebird habitat in the Bark Bay Slough, an estuary of Lake Superior. Dr. Mundahl will help participants learn to identify these unique birds as they stopover on an amazing migration. Dress for the weather, bring snacks, water, and binoculars. Participants must provide their own canoe or kayak. Meet at the boat landing at 1:00 p.m. Return by 3:30. You don’t have to be a certified Master Naturalist to participate! Any adult learners are welcome. Space is limited. Register by September 13. Go to cablemuseum.org or call the Cable Natural History Museum 715-798-3890 to register. Cost is $20 member/$25 non-member. Social distancing guidelines will be practiced.
