Spring Wildflower Walk (with Birds!)
May 20, 2021 - 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Join Cable Natural History Museum Naturalist Emily Stone to enjoy the spring wildflowers of St. Peter’s Dome State Natural Area. This northern mesic forest has some of the best wildflower diversity in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Since migrating birds will likely be abundant, we’ll admire them as well. Meet at the Morgan Falls Trailhead at 10:00 a.m. We’ll meander and naturalize until noon. Serious hikers can bring lunch and make the steep climb to the top. Wear sturdy footwear for muddy, rough trails. Dress for the weather, bring snacks and water. Binoculars available to borrow upon request. Bring a hand lens if you have one. Space is limited. Register by May 18 by calling 715-798-3890 or go to www.cablemuseum.org. Cost is $15 member/$20 non-member. Social distancing guidelines will be practiced. USFS parking pass required.
