Birding by Ear on the Namekagon River (Master Naturalist Advanced Training)
June 17 - 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Join local veterinarian and birder, Dr. John Mundahl, for a float through prime bird habitat along the Namekagon River. Dr. Mundahl will help participants learn to distinguish common birdsongs with or without actually seeing our feathered friends. Dress for the weather, bring snacks, water, and binoculars. Participants must provide their own canoe or kayak and shuttle. Meet at the put-in on County Road M at 9:00 a.m. ready to go. You’ll need to have your own shuttle waiting at Phillipi Landing in Cable. Return by noon. You don’t have to be a certified Master Naturalist to participate! Any adult learners are welcome. Space is limited. Register with the Cable Natural History Museum by June 14 by calling 715-798-3890 or go to www.cablemuseum.org. Cost is $20 member/$25 non-member. Social distancing guidelines will be practiced.
