Junek’s Log Cabins – Cable, Wisconsin Cabins on Beautiful Lake Namakagon

Junek's Log Cabins have two cabins on Beautiful Lake Namakagon in the Cable, WI area.

These cabins are in a semi-private, quiet setting in the middle of the great North Woods. Mr. and Mrs. John Junek Sr. built the cabins in the 60's (Junek's Point was named after his father). They have been kept up by the family ever since. Each cabin has two bedrooms that are very clean with comfortable beds and all linens, and modern furnishings. Plus a telephone in each cabin with the use of a phone card.

Cabin #1: There is a full and single bed in each bedroom plus a full size in living room.
Cabin #2: There is a full and single bed in each bedroom plus a full size in living room.

In the kitchen you will find all major appliances, full size refrigerators, gas cooking range, microwave, all cookware, toaster, coffee maker and filters, one roll of paper towels, dish soap, salt & pepper, and linens. The living room has modern furnishings, gas wall furnace, 20" color TV, fully carpeted, with a fieldstone fireplace for that cozy night in front of a fire, with wood on the porch, and a full size bed. The bathroom has a shower, 2 rolls of paper and personal bar soap. One set of towels for each person (you may need to bring extras). The two bedrooms have comfortable beds (a double & single in each room), and all linens. Our flannel sheets are a special touch for our early or late season guests.

Each cabin has a great view of the lake (50-75 feet) from your front step, relax in the privacy of your own yard and pier, sandy shore for swimming, a 14' row boat, lawn chairs, barbecue grill & campfire area with a picnic table.

We have a deep, 14' Northwood's boat to rent, and motor rentals are close by. You may bring your own fishing or ski boat that suits you. How ever we do not accommodate for ATV's or Personal watercraft.

The lake has excellent fishing and we welcome fishing and hunting groups. We have a screened in fish-cleaning house with a refrigerator for your bait and fish remains to be placed. This keeps Yogi Bear away from the cottages, and yes we do have bears, along with deer, raccoons, squirrels, chipmunks, bald eagles, loons, ducks and a hoot of an owl, which are all part of the great North Woods. August & September are gorgeous for fall colors and a ride around the lake or a round of golf on the many area courses. In the fall, grouse & duck hunting, followed with bow and gun season.

Things you may want to bring: portable type screen house, yard blankets, beach towels, life jackets, charcoal & lighter, binoculars, VCR, radio, bug spray, and sunshine!


Junek's Log Cabin Rates
2008 Summer Rates (May 31st - September 5th)
$825.00	For one week: for 1-2 people Saturday to Saturday with arrival at 3:00 p.m. and Departure at 9:00 a.m.
$55.00	Per extra person: Any guest staying one night or more during the week will be charged per person. (per week)
$80.00 + tax per pet	Pet Policy: Leashed or kept in your own yard, and clean up any waste. Tags worn, and fully responsible for behavior & costs. Pets will not, be left alone to bark, or chew inside or out. You will be charged for all damage. Example: One chair means replacing a whole table set. We have the right to refuse any pet or ask for you to leave, due to your pet's behavior or if not retained in your own yard. With out any refund of your stay. Vacuums are in each cabin.
2008 Rentals
$70.00	14" Northwood's Boat, motor rentals near by. Call for information.
9.5%	Tax: Rates do not include state and local taxes. 5% state tax, 1/2% county tax and 4% local tax. Total of 9.5%. Tax is on total bill.
Deposit & Cancellation Policy	Deposit of $400.00 per week or more, to hold reservation. Cancellation Policy: No refund for months of June, July, August unless we are able to re-book your same reservation. All other deposits, 50% refund, except less than 60days no refund. We will do our best to work with you in case of an emergency. We accept personal checks, cashier checks or cash. No credit cards.

Directions to Junek's Log Cabins, on Lake Namekagon From Hayward take Hwy. 63, 17 miles north to Cable. Take M at Cable, go 6.8 miles to the Dam Rd. Turn left, go 3.8 miles, to Birch Point Rd. (first road on right) You will go over another bridge, and past the 4-Seasons Resort to Junek's Log Cabins, fire # 44580 on your left.
