Camping

The Chequamegon National Forest offers some of the finest camping opportunities, with spacious campsites nestled in wooded areas beside a lake or stream. There are private campsites offering showers and electrical hook-ups.

For those who really want to "get away from it all", backcountry camping is permitted throughout the forest on public land, as long as the site is located at least 30 feet away from any trail or water's edge. Remember...pack it in and pack it out!

There is an RV Dump Station at Two Lakes Campground on Lake Owen and the Hayward KOA. Shower, pool, and sauna facilities are available at Lakewoods and Telemark Resort for a small fee.
